And the world's worst mommy award goes to...

...ME (big surprise!)

Emma lost a tooth at school yesterday and the Tooth Fairy forgot to come last night! Emma was crushed when she woke up this morning and her tooth was still there and no money. I pretended to find her tooth fairy money on the floor when I was helping her make her bed (so I lied on top of forgetting!)

Let's hope I do better today...

Don't you hate it when that happens! Our tooth fairy has forgotten to do that too and amazingly enough, we also found it later. That silly tooth fairy had left it tucked in the arm of her bear. ;-)

No bad mommy award for you, I think you covered nicely.

I once remembered right before she woke up in the morning; fortunately it was my night owl kid rather than the early riser. You're the worst mommy by a long shot; good job in covering up. The tooth fairy's rep is still intact.

Oops! That's supposed to say you're NOT the worst mommy by a long shot. See, we also mess up.

Snort. Bless your heart. I say you recovered quite well!

Good recovery! That was a good one. Definitely not the worst mommy.

You are a smart mommie. Way to save the day with a little small lie. Hey, mommas can do that sometimes.

Gotta remember that one! LOL!

Oh girl, these things happen! We've done that before with Paige, too. I think you recovered very well. Don't beat yourself up over it. Maybe from now on, you can have the tooth fairy leave money in different places and make it a scavenger hunt. That will surely make your little one excited for the search :)

Exact same thing happened at our house in December! I used the "it was too cold for the tooth fairy to fly last night" excuse!

Hope you're having a fun weekend!

You had a great save! I've done that too, and I swore that would never happen to me! lol We'll laugh about it someday with our children.

Although Abbey is only 4 she is already talking about her tooth coming out and the tooth fairy bringing her a prize. I always think I will fall asleep while waiting to hide the money, I have the best of intentions but then get so tired. On the other hand when I don't need to be awake I am, usually up blogging and emailing throughout the night. The mosquitoes love it...they just wait till I wake up for their feeding frenzy.
